Borisal is a small city andit is very beautiful.Barisal is located in south-central Bangladesh. It's encient district called Bakerganj.It a now division. It is a land of forests and trees,hills and vales,rivrs.marshes and canals ,wide open meadows.Barisal town was under the control of the Roychoudhury family.It has moved to Calcutta.Our city is over populated and the rapid growth of population in the main person of unemployment problem.Our district is indestriallyvery much backward.

Most problem of our district depend on besiness and agriculture.But our cultivable land is very limited.So,it can not engage a huge number of people.

Our present system of education is very good.It is linked by steamer with Dhaka (73 miles [117 km] north) and with Chittagong to the southeast.Our district is location and easy access to both riverine and marine navigation channels.
Our history of barisal was a semi-independent area in Mughal period.
